About Us

Established in 1982, Eden Drug has always promoted itself as a “Hometown Pharmacy.”  The staff strives to provide old-fashioned customer service while integrating some of the latest innovations in pharmacy care. 

Eden Drug processes over 2000 prescriptions weekly.  Pharmacy services include Medicare consultation and billing, diabetic care, diabetic shoes, durable medical equipment, compounding, free blood pressure check, Hospice care, free local deliveries twenty-four hour emergency service and travel vaccinations.

To help patients reduce the cost of their medications, Eden Drug offers a One Price Prescription Drug Plan.  Patients can receive up to a three months supply of over 250 generic drugs for $18.00 or less.  For more information on this drug plan, please click on the button at the bottom of our homepage.  We have recently launched our Free Generic Drug Voucher as another method to reduce your drug costs.  Call the pharmacy to see how you may qualify for a free 30 day supply.

The pharmacy has recently taken on a new, updated look and added a collegiate line of gifts and t-shirts.  Other items provided are a complete line of quality herbs and vitamins by PhytoPharmica, an old-time remedy section, specialty items for asthma, allergy and diabetes, a section on cancer care, Russell Stover candy and a collection of cards for every season and occasion.

Eden Drug’s goal is to provide a positive customer experience and improve the quality of life for the patients we serve.  We make sure our customers receive quality drugs prescribed by their doctor. Pharmacists deliver personal counseling which supplies the information and tools to help patients use their medications properly.  You are encouraged to visit the pharmacy at 103 West Stadium Drive in Eden or on-line for up to date health news.

About Our Pharmacist

Pete Crouch, RPh, CPP

Pete Crouch, owner/pharmacist, graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1976 with a B.S. Degree in Pharmacy. He has been with Eden Drug since 2000 and became the owner in 2006.

He is a member of the NCPA and is past president of the Rockingham County Society of Pharmacists. He also served as a Pharmacist Consultant for Hospice of Rockingham County for fifteen years.

Pete has continued his education by achieving certifications in Asthma, COPD, Diabetes, and Immunizations. He is recognized by the N. C. Medical Board as a Clinical Pharmacist Practitioner. This allows him to administer immunization services for health and travel, such as: flu and pneumonia vaccines, tetanus and whooping cough, hepatitis A&B shots, travel vaccines, including tetanus and yellow fever, and the Zostavax vaccine for shingles.

He is very active in the community. He is a member of the Board of Trustees at Morehead Memorial Hospital. He also served on the Executive Board of the Eden Chamber of Commerce. Pete encourages his employees to support local organizations like the Lord’s Pantry, The Red Cross, The Pregnancy Center, Relay for Life, and Hospice.

When not in the pharmacy, Pete enjoys fishing and visiting his six grandgirls.

Chad York, PharmD

Chad York, PharmD, is a staff pharmacist at Eden Drug. Originally from Unionville, NC, Chad has been a resident of Rockingham County since 2013.

Chad completed his undergraduate studies at North Carolina State University (2007) and his doctorate of pharmacy from Wingate University School of Pharmacy (2012). He joined the Eden Drug staff in July 2012. Chad has APhA certifications of achievements in Medication Therapy Management Services in the Community and Pharmacy-based Immunization Delivery.

He is currently partnered with Community Care of North Carolina to improve the health and wellness in the NC Medicaid population. Chad currently teaches a monthly class on heart health as well as appearing as a guest lecturer in Eden Drug’s diabetic education classes.

He enjoys giving patients a world class experience during their pharmacy visits and has a strong passion for education in the underserved diabetic population. He believes that Eden Drug also boasts one of the best pharmacy staffs he has ever had the pleasure of serving.

When not in the pharmacy, Chad enjoys sports and the outdoors as well as spending time with friends and family.

Amanda Crouch, PharmD

Amanda was born and raised in Eden, NC. She completed her undergraduate studies at UNC-Greensboro (2005), then later pursued pharmacy school at Wingate University (2014). Amanda grew up watching the pharmacy world from a soda fountain stool at a locally-owned independent drugstore where her Dad worked when she was little. She easily shares that it has always been very inspiring to observe her Dad making a positive difference in the lives of many as a pharmacist.

Amanda has worked at Eden Drug as a staff pharmacist since graduating in 2014. She believes in the positive impact an independent pharmacy such as Eden Drug can make on the surrounding community. Amanda particularly enjoys compounding, providing vaccinations, and giving patients educational tools for smoking cessation.

While not in the pharmacy , Amanda enjoys taking dance classes, exercising, and planning events with friends and family!



Frank Burton is a 1970 graduate of the UNCCH Eshelman School of Pharmacy. A Reidsville native, he has been a community pharmacist for his entire career, including over 35 years as owner of Burton’s Pharmacy in downtown Greensboro, which closed in 2013. Frank has a long history of being active in professional, church, and community organizations. He is a past president of both the Guilford County Society of Pharmacists and the North Carolina Association of Pharmacists, and currently serves on the boards of the North Carolina Pharmacy Association Endowment Fund and the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy Foundation. He is an Elder and choir member in his church, and served on the board of Downtown Greensboro, Inc. Frank is a past recipient of the prestigious Bowl of Hygeia Award, a national award presented annually to one pharmacist in each state for outstanding community service. He and his wife Jane, a retired R.N., have two grown sons, and reside in Greensboro.
